Accountant/CFO
Job includes management of company payables and receivables,
payroll, bank and cash reconciliation, and timely fining of
required tax reports. Financial analysis including compilation,
review and analysis of operating statements and balance sheet,
management of outstanding financing and review of tax implications.
Direction and supervision of document and information management.
Oversee implementation and maintenance of accounting system
and system back-up and management of data bases. Advise CEO
in policies related to tax implications, depreciation, investment
strategies and debt management.
Requirements:
Minimum BA with business related major, preferably accounting
and business law courses
Good written and verbal communication skills
Experience in small business environment, preferably distribution
of plumbing supply, hardware, auto parts, wholesale electrical
supply, Etc.
Computer skills:
Good working knowledge of computer and Windows functions. Accuracy
with data entry and calculations,
Desktop management, file management, use of CD drive, back-up
tape system
Familiar with at least one commercial accounting package such
as Peachtree, Acc-Pac, Great Plains, Triad, Prophet 21 or similar.
Ability to create and edit spreadsheets, design forms and templates,
move cells, sort, calculations
including at sum, formula auditing, and macros using Excel
Ability to write business letters and reports in correct format,
create tables, labels, forms, templates, compare
files, lines, borders, use of clipboard to cut, copy, paste
using Word
Manage email accounts, use primary Outlook functions
Good health, with ability to work 44 _ hour work week and maintain
excellent attendance
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities
Dress code will be tasteful business casual.
Wages and benefits:
Compensation will be based on experience and proof of competence.
Job performance reviews will determine eligibility for salary
or wage advancement.
Hours worked beyond 40 hours per week will be paid as overtime
at 1.5 times base wage
Kaiser “B” plan will be provided for employees not
covered by other plan. Medical coverage will start on the first
of the month following 30 days of full employment at MSI.
Holidays will be paid per company holiday schedule after 60
days of full employment. Vacation pay of 1 week will be earned
after one year of employment, 2 weeks after 2 years of employment.
On premises parking is available at no charge to employee
Company Handbook and waiver of contract:
All employees will be expected to read and abide by the conditions
included in the Company Handbook, which will be distributed
to new employees upon their hiring. New employees will be expected
to read the manual and advise management in writing, prior to
reporting to work, of any conditions or requirements which cannot
be met, conflict with personal needs or values or are otherwise
objectionable to the employee. Employee will be required to
sign for receipt of manual, and on the first day of work, an
acknowledgement of agreement with the conditions therein. Employment
at MSI is “at will”. No contract of employment exists
or is intended to exist between MSI and the employee or prospective
employee. The Company handbook, possession thereof or any other
statement or offer by management does not constitute a contract
